Rev. Madeline Burbank
Co-Author of Sex Is a Gift: The Bigger Gift Is Talking About It
Rev. Madeline Burbank (she/her) brings experience as a Twin Cities artist, queer chaplain, and ordained pastor in the ELCA Lutheran tradition. Madeline celebrates how God’s divine love is reflected in ongoing co-creation and the diversity of human relationships. She believes everyone deserves pleasure, support, and art supplies. Her recent projects include visible mending and interfaith bridge building. As a trauma-informed educator, she emphasizes the importance of play, rituals, and embodied learning. As a white ministry organizer, Madeline highlights oppressed perspectives and intergenerational cooperation. Madeline’s practice is shaped by crip theory, improv, anti-racist advocacy, and the importance of art in mutual liberation. To recharge, Madeline enjoys tabletop roleplaying games and lake-time with loved ones.
