Courageous Curiosity and the Postures that Get Us There

Churches now need ways of being that open them up to more vast possibilities. Churches need postures that liberate them from limited, narrow boxes. Postures that bear the image of their divinely creative Creator, help them discern the movement of the Spirit, and evoke togetherness as the beloved community of Christ in discipleship, ministries, and relationships. For this, the church is going to need a little more curiosity and a lot more courage.
SETTING THE TABLE
Before you begin, take a moment to breathe together. Set a moment to set down all that it took to get you to this moment and what will happen after you are done. Become present to this moment, whether it is with a group or reflection with yourself. You could add a prayer to open your space or simply read the above quote. Before diving into the questions from the authors, take a moment to define what courageous curiosity means based on what you read in this chapter or based on your group’s understanding.
